MTV brings you Under the Thumb.

We were asked to do the TV spot and posters for MTVs new, much anticipated, mobile app MTV Under The Thumb. After teaming up with the creative guys at MTV we had this crazy script in our hands. The main idea was to make you the star of some iconic MTV shows for a brief moment. Ambitions were high considering the tight deadline. That didn’t stop us! We went to Brazil over New Year’s, had some long days of shooting with help from the fantastic team at Santa, flew back home and stitched it all together over some hectic days (and nights). Enjoy the ride!

MTV Supercharts Revisited

Because everybody loves The Blob, MTV asked us to do some more bumpers for their show Supercharts. This time we wanted to take it a bit further to keep it interesting. We ended up doing some more interaction between the blob and its surroundings as it wanders the streets. But one thing we learned is that life isn’t always easy when you are a big, pink, clumsy blob...

OFFF Barcelona 2012 Main Titles

This is quite crazy, but we got the honor to create the main titles for one of the most prestigious festivals in our field of work! Together with the two award winning brothers at Brosmind we are to create something out of the ordinary for OFFF 2012 in Barcelona.

What will happen when we mix Brosmind’s super sweet illustration and design work with our strange ideas and mix of production techniques? That’s what we are to find out over the next few months. Too bad you’ll have to wait ‘til May to find out!

King of the Slope

Together with one of Sweden's biggest energy companies and agency Lowe Brindfors, we've just released an iPhone/Android app for all you skiers out there.

The app itself records data from your ski runs, which among others, includes vertical drop, average speed and distance.

The case also included a movie to show off all the features of the app and a lot of testing. The testing included both snow trials in Åre and driving around in the rural regions in the southern part of Sweden using Erik's sleek Volvo 240 GLT.

Warriors DJ battle

We like to try out new things and are always up for a challenge. So when asked to participate in a DJ battle we just couldn’t say no. With no prior experience we got some decks to the office to practice and put together a nice set. To ensure victory we also had some extra aces up our sleeve. And we sure did kick some ass and made it through to the final.

December 28 we’re battling it out at Debaser Malmö once more at the final round of Warriors. Be there!

This is what it looked like last time!

MTV - Breakfast Club

We were just about to close down our studio and go on vacation when MTV Nordic called. They loved what we did last time for them and asked us to produce a new bumper package for their show Breakfast Club! We just couldn't resist and went into a 3-week production frenzy. MTV wanted something happy, weird and funny in our high-end style. This is what we did.

Next Stop - BRIO

The journey continues with Brio's toytrains. This year the focus is on their Harbour and Metro sets and getting back to the fun of playing while maintaining style and design. We think they have done a pretty good job.

Koppel Collection from Georg Jensen

The fine folk at Georg Jensen wanted something up close and personal when re-launching their Koppel watch series. We had the good fortune to produce their presentation under the watchful eyes of NY based Lipman.

Happy F5!

When Motionographer announced their second F5 Fest, an event celebrating creative spirits through original motion work, workshops and incredible presenters, Upper First was asked to create a number of bumpers for the events film festival, Re:Play. The theme was Happiness and we had two weeks to deliver.
